Most people don’t understand the reasons why they feel bad or miserable, and want to know why they are stuck in their lives.
For most, it’s a combination of negative beliefs about themselves and the world, plus an accumulation of difficult and unprocessed feelings stuck in their bodies, creating darkness or heaviness inside.
How we got to this...
From the moment we are born, society teaches us to suppress our feelings about things to ‘be brave’, ‘be strong’, and ‘don’t cry like a baby.’
Things happen to us in our childhoods, but we are too small to identify how we feel about them, and to know how to feel feelings, as we haven’t been taught how to do it, and are certainly not encouraged to do so!
So we suppress our feelings throughout our lives, in order to ‘be brave’, or ‘be strong’. The energy of those feelings goes inwards, creating a ‘body of pain’ inside our cells. This grows as we suppress feelings about events that happen in our lives. In order to avoid the pain inside, many anesthetise themselves and turn outward, looking for social media, shopping, drink, drugs or other addictive behaviours to make them feel ‘better’. It doesn’t work, and over time often compounds the problem.
Later in our lives, when we have an experience that reminds us of a feeling we have already stored in our body of pain, it creates a ‘trigger’ – a huge reaction – that takes us back to the original unfelt feelings stored inside us. It’s bigger than it should be and can seem uncontrollable, because it’s backed up by old pain.
Triggers are seldom about what you think they are about.
How can a drawing4freedom session help?
The foundation of all healing is to face, feel and release one’s suppressed negative, or difficult emotions so one is lighter and freer.
- This is done by: looking at or feeling things that you don't want to look at or feel, acknowledging and sitting with the feelings, then releasing them.
- Identifying and changing any unhelpful or obstructive beliefs you may be unconsciously holding on to.
- Drawing4Freedom can be bolted on to any other healing modality, to help one process the emotions that come up afterwards.
- It is helpful in breaking down depression and anxiety.
- It will help with any triggers in your life, where you do not feel in control of your overwhelming emotions and resulting behaviour.
- You will learn where your issues originate from, which is the first step in separating yourself from them. This may also help with any physical symptoms.
- You will no longer be afraid of what you feel.
- It can be used for weekly 'emotional hygiene' sessions to ensure that other feelings that arise are acknowledged, felt and released, leaving you lighter and more in control of your life.
- Many of us have no emotional connection with ourselves which means we don't trust ourselves. Through Drawing4Freedom You will be learning emotional connection with yourself.
What happens in a session?
In a session of Drawing4Freedom, You will be releasing suppressed feelings and if required, updating any unhelpful beliefs.
The feelings have to be FELT in order to release out of our bodies, and most of us don’t know how to do that! A drawing4Freedom session will teach you how to do this, in the easiest way.
You will then find out where your pain and triggers originate from, and turn them round so they no longer bother you.
Although one session makes a big difference, Drawing4Freedom is not a one-off session therapy; to achieve what you want will require perseverance and regularity, as one’s mind doesn’t like change. Feelings that come up will need to be processed regularly; not everything comes up at once, and neither would you want it to!
A weekly session – for at least 4 weeks – is recommended, either 1:1 online or on a group Zoom to give you the discipline and support needed to achieve your goals.
Your Healing Journey
In a Drawing4Freedom session, please be open-minded and let go of all expectations and resistance. Your subconscious beliefs could be stopping you from healing yourself.
If you’re serious about changing your life, you will need to take responsibility for your healing; embody that change by consistently drawing out negativity and remembering what you want, instead of what is. Drawing4Freedom can take some time and not all transformations and awakenings happen immediately but they do happen for those people who are committed. After a session you may still have some residual feelings, as your body is processing and bringing up negativity for you to release from the session. It can feel strong and uncomfortable. This is perfectly normal, and it means the session has worked for you. Take responsibility and keep drawing the feelings out. However, the mind is fearful of change and will try and keep you where you were before, so you will need to be mindful of what is going on. If you are unwilling to move through the emotions that will come up during this process, or let go of whatever is causing your suffering, any improvements from the sessions will be limited.
If you find your former negativity has returned, sometimes the cause is not so obvious, and if you wish to proceed, will need more digging in individual sessions, but do not give up!
Between sessions: Ask yourself, am I constantly in a low vibration of fear, worry, anger or sadness? Has something in my environment triggered my reaction? Work through these questions with kindness to yourself.
Because ultimately you are the one healing yourself, you must be willing to listen to your subconscious’s messages that come up through the drawing; ask questions on what is causing your challenges, and keep drawing to free yourself from them.
Positive intentions are key to your ongoing healing, so it’s important to believe and see yourself how you want to be rather than how you are now.
I can make no guarantees related to Drawing4Freedom that you will be healed, because you might have agreed to something in the past which blocks it at a subconscious level.
